Construction started in 1976. We opened in 1979, among the first hotels built on this coast, and we are still owned by the same family. That is why the person who answers the phone can usually make a decision.

The mythology runs through the building and always has. Poseidon, god of the sea in Greek mythology, gave the hotel its name, and his story named everything inside it: the Aegean Coffee Shop, the Poseidon Restaurant, the Neptune Ballroom, the Odyssea and Trident bars, Triton, Deity Spa and, most recently, Wanax.

What has changed

A great deal. The rooms have been rebuilt more than once, the spa arrived on the beach level, and Wanax opened and was voted a top ten Limassol beach bar in its first summer. We hold Green Key certification for how the building is run, and our beach carries the Blue Flag.

What has not

The position. We remain the closest building to the water on this stretch of Limassol Bay, twelve steps from a Blue Flag beach, surrounded by the gardens that were planted when the hotel was built. And the ownership, which is still the same family, still on site.
